Encouraging community spirit since 1936
The Mountain Lakes Club is a not-for-profit organization that was established in 1936 by summer residents in Groton’s Lost Lake area. We continue to be dedicated to providing activities that encourage community spirit in the neighborhood.
Run entirely by a dedicated board of volunteers, the club owns and maintains Baby Beach and the Club Field. We also provide opportunities for the neighborhood to gather for a number of annual events, such as an Easter egg hunt, a Messy Games day and a Halloween Haunted Walk. We encourage service to the community with a spring roadside cleanup and promotion of fire/police safety issues. We also make a point of assisting other groups and individuals in the neighborhood whose efforts support the community.
Participation in events is not limited to club members, however we encourage everyone to join as a way to support for our efforts. The membership contribution is $27 per year per family. For safety reasons, the beach is available only to club members. The field is available for private gatherings upon approval from the board.
